Chopped deciduous forest humus
Deciduous forest humus from beech & oak, shredded and chopped, homogeneously mixed and ready for immediate use.
A homogeneously mixed deciduous forest substrate of oak and beech from our own forest is used, which can be shredded and chopped and used immediately to feed the beetle larvae or to create the ideal breeding box. Depending on the species or animal group to be cared for, the appropriate substrate moisture may need to be adjusted. White rotten wood can be mixed in individually in the desired quantities and percentages.
For dipods, woodlice and many stag beetles or dynastids, the proportion of white rot in the substrate should be over 50%. For rose chafer beetles, LWH can be used as a pure breeding medium and rearing medium for larvae.
