Mediterranean barbecue
The Mediterranean cricket is an exceptionally strong representative of its species, which also makes a tasty morsel for large terrarium inhabitants. Mediterranean crickets are nocturnal, but far less shy of light than crickets, for example. They also flee far less quickly than most food animals and are therefore also ideal for slower terrarium animals. However, they often sit still for quite a long time, which can be a real test of patience with pets that react to movement stimuli, at least for the keeper watching them. Mediterranean crickets are also well armoured: even a larger lizard has to chew hard to get the morsel down.
