Desert locusts
As food insects, desert locusts are just as suitable as main and supplementary food for almost all insectivores as the Egyptian migratory locust, but unlike the migratory locust they have strong spines on their jumping legs. Due to their impressive size, they also feed large pets, and their jumping and fluttering locomotion triggers an irresistible hunting instinct in many lizards, frogs, birds and small mammals. Advantages that smaller pets can also enjoy, as the young of the desert locust are just as good and popular as prey. Perfect food animals.
