Terms and Conditions containing important customer information.
Shipping:
Orders are accepted online 24 hours a day. You can also place an order with us by telephone. If you are unable to reach us, we will get back to you within 24 hours.
For online orders, the order confirmation and invoice details will be sent to you by email within 24 hours. You are obliged to check the order confirmation immediately and to notify us straight away in the event of any discrepancies. Please refer to section 5, ‘Right of exchange or return’, of our Terms and Conditions.
Feed insects are generally dispatched from Monday to Wednesday. Orders for these must be received by us via the shop, by email or by telephone by 10 am on Sunday morning and 7.30 am on Wednesday morning.
Live fish food is dispatched exclusively on Tuesdays, with orders closing on Sundays. Mixed orders containing live fish food and insects are dispatched on Tuesdays.
Orders for accessories only and display insects are available from stock and will be dispatched by Wednesday.
Orders are dispatched from Monday to Wednesday following receipt of payment.
We dispatch the feed insects in the best possible and freshest quality. Should a parcel arrive with external damage, please report this to the post office so that they can cover the damage. We accept no liability for damage caused by heat or cold. During the colder months, heat packs should not be omitted. A heat pack will automatically be added to your cart during the colder months. However, you can also order additional heat packs in the shop. For orders of frozen food, a polystyrene box and dry ice are automatically added to your cart, which can be manually removed. For orders of live fish food during the warmer months, the polystyrene box and a cold pack (in the depot) are also automatically added to your cart.
Parcels are dispatched throughout the year as ordered, even in extreme temperatures. Should the carrier leave parcels out in the sun or cold, or deliver them late, neither we nor the carrier accept any liability.
If a public holiday falls on a Monday, our regular dispatch and delivery dates are automatically postponed by one working day. Delivery will therefore take place one day later.
We strongly recommend express delivery for display insects. We cannot guarantee delivery with A-Post.
Express delivery is available only from Monday to Wednesday, with orders closing at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday. This is to keep the delivery route short
Guarantee of live arrival
We guarantee the live and unharmed arrival
of the animals ordered from us within Switzerland with express shipping,
regardless of the actual parcel transit time, until delivery to the
recipient.
With the handover of the parcel, responsibility
for the animals passes to the keeper. From this point onwards, the proper
accommodation and care of the animals is the responsibility of the buyer, and our
guarantee for live arrival ends.
The guarantee expires at the latest if no
complaint is received within 4 hours of deliveryby email
by us. This must be substantiated by meaningful, sharp photos or
ideally a video.
Deceased animals must be kept until the matter has been fully resolved.
There is likewise no entitlement to a guarantee
if delivery fails because the parcel was not accepted.
Important notice
By ordering an animal, the buyer undertakes to
ensure that the shipment is accepted as early as possible.
After receipt, a prompt inspection must be carried out and the animals must be
transferred either directly or shortly afterwards into a suitable, climate-controlled environment
.
We understand that immediate inspection
is not always possible – therefore, we grant a period of 4 hours from
acceptance for a complaint.
Complaint / Compensation
Complaints should please be made by email, ideally
with photo or video material that clearly shows that the
animal has died. The image or video quality must allow a clear assessment
to be made.
In the event of a justified complaint, either:
a voucher
or
a
refund of the purchase price of the affected animal.
The guarantee claim relates exclusively to the
purchase price of the animal and expressly excludes shipping, packaging or consequential costs
.
Acceptance and accommodation of the animals
The buyer is obliged to accept the delivery at the first
delivery attempt.
Cold-blooded animals (e.g. tarantulas, scorpions, woodlice, millipedes, etc.)
must, after arrival, be kept protected from unauthorised access and in a temperature-controlled
room.
If a shipment with live animals is not accepted at the first
delivery attempt, a later complaint is excluded.
Until transfer into the terrarium, the animals must be stored at 18–24
°C.
They must not be exposed to direct sunlight or heat sources.
If underfloor heating is present, the animals – even in the
insulated box – must not be placed on the floor.
For shipments with heat pack, the polystyrene box must be opened immediately
after receipt and the heat pack removed.
Postage costs:
Shipping costs are shown in the order confirmation. Shipping is free for orders over CHF 90. We offer express shipping for CHF 9 on orders over CHF 90.
Collection: Our collection times are Tuesdays from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm and Wednesdays between 3.00 pm and 5.30 pm at Industriestrasse 2q, 8575 Bürglen
Please note that to collect your order, one of our two order deadlines must be met:
Sunday until 10.00 am
Wednesday until 7.30 am for collection on Wednesday
Terms of payment:
For online orders paid in advance, we dispatch the goods upon receipt of payment. Bank details will be provided once the order has been received. Shipping and payment terms | Pocerias
You can select your payment method upon collection.
A reminder fee of 10.- will be charged for the first reminder to cover costs; for the second reminder, 30.-
If an order remains unpaid after two unsuccessful reminders, we reserve the right to take legal action.
Purchase on account with instalment option (POWERPAY)
MF Group / POWERPAY, as an external payment service provider, offers the payment method “Purchase on account”. With the individual invoice, you can simply settle your online purchase
by invoice. Should you choose not to make a payment within the specified timeframe, you will subsequently receive a monthly invoice the following month with
an order summary.
Upon conclusion of the purchase contract, POWERPAY assumes the resulting invoice claim and handles the corresponding payment arrangements. When purchasing on
account, you also accept POWERPAY’s terms and conditions in addition to our own. (powerpay.ch/de/agb).
General:
With insects, there may be variations in the quantity and size of items. Most insects are packed by weight, so there may sometimes be more or fewer of them, provided the size varies. The weight is always the same. All weights and quantities are approximate.
- We have introduced a small quantity surcharge of CHF 5.00 with a minimum order value of CHF 15.00.
Exchange or return policy:
Our feed animals are excluded from exchange or return.
If you wish to exchange an item (accessory), this is possible within 10 days of receipt. However, the goods must be unopened and in perfect condition. Transport to pocerias.ch is at your own expense and risk.
Warranty:
In the event of an incorrect delivery or other issues, you are obliged to notify us. We guarantee that we will address your issue as soon as possible.
Retention of title:
The goods remain the property of www.pocerias.ch until full payment has been received
Changes to Terms and Conditions, Prices:
Prices, the range and the Terms and Conditions may be changed by us at any time without prior notice. Printing errors and obvious mistakes in price lists do not entitle the customer to any claims. Older price lists cease to be valid upon publication of this
price list.
Trademark and copyright notices
