Terra Tropical Terrarium Lamp, E 27 thread. The Exo Terra Reptile 5.0 provides moderate to high UVB output as found in shaded environments such as rainforests or other tropical locations. Reptiles living in these habitats receive less UV radiation due to the many elements that prevent direct sunlight from hitting the animals and their warm spots. The humidity in these locations is quite high, which filters out some of the UV rays. The weather conditions change throughout the day and so there is less sunshine.
