Hardwood forest humus of beech & oak crushed and chopped, homogeneously mixed and ready for immediate use.

A homogeneously mixed hardwood forest humus of oak, beech from our own forest is used, which, crushed and chopped, can be used immediately for the care of beetle larvae or the ideal setup of a breeding box. Depending on the species or group of animals to be cared for, it may still be necessary to adjust the appropriate substrate moisture. White rotting wood can be mixed in individually in desired amounts and percentages.

For diplodes, isopods and many stag beetles or dynastids, the white rot percentage of the substrate should be above 50%. For rose beetles, LWH can be used as a pure breeding medium and rearing medium for larvae.
