The Exo Terra Infrared Thermometer is a pocket-sized, lightweight thermometer that allows you to instantly measure the temperature of a surface or object. Hold the Exo Terra Infrared Thermometer to a specific object and press the thermometer's button. The temperature is then shown on a large digital display where it is easy to see. The thermometer can be used to determine the temperature in basking sites, hiding places and incubation media or to measure the hibernation temperature or body temperature of your reptile. You can also measure the temperature "on site" during exploration tours in the wild. To determine the temperature curve, the infrared thermometer measures the ambient temperature for as long as you keep the button pressed. As soon as you release the button, the last measured temperature is displayed. A small LED light helps you to measure in the right place and shows the diameter of the measured area. With this light you can also examine difficult to measure places where it is rather dark, such as inside caves, behind branches, under foliage, etc.
